What is Autolane?

Context

You manage a commercial property — or you're just coming on board — and you want the big-picture view of what Autolane is and what it does for you.

Answer

Autolane makes your property ready for autonomous vehicles, and gives you visibility and control over them.

Self-driving vehicles (Waymo, Tesla Robotaxi, and others) are already arriving at commercial properties to pick up and drop off passengers. Without coordination, they pull up wherever they like, block lanes, and add to curbside congestion. Autolane turns that activity into something organized, visible, and manageable.

There are two parts to it:

  • The signs — freestanding markers placed at designated curbside zones that tell autonomous vehicles exactly where to pick up and drop off. Each sign includes a camera that feeds activity data to the platform (see Privacy & Security for how footage is handled).

  • The Autolane Platform — your dashboard at portal.goautolane.com, where you see autonomous activity across your property in real time: which zones are busy, how long vehicles dwell, and where issues come up.

What it means for you:

  • Property owners & managers: real-time visibility into autonomous activity, the tools to keep your curb orderly, and a property that's ready for autonomous commerce — without the curbside chaos.

  • Tenants: organized AV traffic near your storefront, plus a ready-made on-ramp if you ever want to offer autonomous delivery to your own customers (see What's the difference between curbside coordination and Direct Delivery?).

Autolane is fully managed. From sign design through installation and dashboard setup, the Autolane team handles deployment end to end — see What does the onboarding process look like? for the full path.
